Nominate a Teacher for McDonald’s Outstanding Educator Awards

Sponsored by McDonald’s

McDonald’s California owners value education and have long recognized the hard work that teachers across our state put in every day. For years, McDonald’s has worked with local schools and school districts to support initiatives that foster academic achievement in the communities we serve, from reading programs to school fundraisers, known as McTeacher’s Night.

The pandemic challenged all of us, in our daily lives, our careers, even the fundraising efforts of nonprofit organizations like PTA; but perhaps no group experienced a greater impact than our teachers. While Thank You Meals and free coffee can be invaluable on any given day, we know it’s the work teachers do inside their classrooms every day that matters the most. Being a great teacher is a labor of love it can challenge your emotions, and your pocketbook. McDonald’s sees teachers buying classroom supplies, providing kids clothes, and supporting them when they need a safe space.

That’s why we’re partnering with the California State PTA to help parents and caregivers throughout California honor teachers the great educators of California by launching the McDonald’s Outstanding Educator Awards. Now through June 30, PTA members are encouraged to nominate a teacher by sending in a short paragraph about why this teacher exemplifies excellence in the classroom. McDonald’s will be providing four, $500 awards for teachers to buy classroom supplies or special items for their students in advance of the 2022-2023 school year, as well as McDonald’s items.

Please send nominations to Tina@FitzgeraldPetersen.com by June 30th and awards will be announced by August 1st. Nominees must teach within the State of California and be licensed in the classroom for the 2022-2023 school year. Thank you for all you do!
