If you are arriving for the Legislation Conference on Sunday, January 21, please join us for a pre-conference networking event from 5:30-7:30 pm. Meet in the atrium at the Embassy Suites to connect with other PTA members, talk about your local experiences, and meet California State PTA leaders.
Please note there are no refunds, and no-shows will be invoiced. Registration transfers only.
LEGISLATOR VISITS
We have designated Tuesday afternoon, January 23, 2024, for legislator visits at the 2024 California State PTA Legislation Conference. District President or District Advocacy/Legislation leaders are working to arrange legislator visits for all attendees to avoid having PTA members schedule multiple visits with the same legislator.
Priority will be given to conference attendees’ Senators and Assembly Members in determining which legislators to visit. These visits are an important part of the conference and will enhance attendees’ advocacy experience. Lawmakers want to know what matters to their constituents. Communicate with them to build a relationship that can lead to the passage of legislation aligned with PTA’s goals.
All LegCon24 attendees will receive additional information/training during the conference on how to visit with legislators and will be given talking points for their meetings. Here is a sample of what legislator visits may look like:
