Students at Convention

Convention offers students a great way to build leadership skills, have a voice on issues, and interact with PTA members from around the state.

Students are encouraged to take advantage of workshops – several are developed specifically by and for students. Take a look below at the workshops to see what’s in store for students at convention.

  • Children under 12 – Parents may register children under 12 at no charge onsite at convention. Special badges will be issued allowing them to accompany a parent to activities on a space-available basis.
  • Children 12 and older – Must register and pay student registration fees.

HERE’s WHAT STUDENTS CAN EXPECT

Student Meet Ups

Connect with the California State PTA Student Board Members. There will be morning and afternoon meeting points for students to meet each other no matter what days of Convention they will be attending. There will also be a meetup point that will allow the students to walk over to the State Dinner Event together.

Mini Table Talk: Increase Student Involvement

Join us in the Exhibit Hall on Friday and Saturday at 11:45 AM to learn about the value of student voices in PTA from State Board Members of California State PTA and the Student Involvement Committee.

Important Remember for Students: Please bring your signed Parent/Guardian Approval and Consent to Treatment Form.

Consent to Treatment Form

Students younger than 18 years of age must bring a signed Parent/Guardian Approval and Consent to Treatment Form signed by a parent(s) or guardian(s).

Download the form in English or Spanish (coming soon). Students will be asked during the registration process to upload a copy of the signed Parent/Guardian Approval and Consent to Treatment form as a backup.
