From Our Sponsor: McDonald’s Owner/Operators in California
McDonald’s California owners value education and recognize the hard work and dedication of teachers throughout our state. For many years, McDonald’s has worked with local schools and school districts to support initiatives that foster academic achievement in the communities we serve by hosting events like reading programs and school fundraisers, known as McTeacher’s Night.
This summer, we partnered with California State PTA to launch the 2024 McDonald’s Outstanding Educator Awards as a way for parents and caregivers to honor the amazing educators in their communities. At California State PTA’s 2024 Convention, McDonald’s invited convention attendees to nominate a teacher by submitting a short paragraph explaining how their teacher nominee exemplifies excellence in the classroom.
McDonald’s is thrilled to share that we received more than 40 nominations filled with incredible stories of leadership, mentorship, and heartfelt passion for teaching.
Congratulations to the four 2024 McDonald’s Outstanding Educator Award Winners!
- Emily Nitta – Sequoia Elementary School (Sacramento, CA)
- Bonnie Russon – Fair Oaks Ranch Community School (Bakersfield, CA)
- Paula Parker – John Muir Elementary School (Modesto, CA)
- Carissa David – Suisun Elementary School (Suisun City, CA)
Thank you for all you do for California schools and students! Each winner will be receiving a $500 cash award to go towards supplies for their classroom and students for the 2024-2025 school year.
McDonald’s wishes ALL educators, students and families a wonderful 2024-2025 school year!
