Why should you order Honorary Service Awards?
Finding ways to honor and recognize our volunteers is a challenge. We can’t pay them or give them gifts and sometimes a volunteer appreciation breakfast just doesn’t feel like enough for all the work they do. Honorary Service Awards are the perfect way to recognize your volunteers while still staying within non-profit guidelines.
Honorary Service Awards can be purchased from the PTA Store. They are special recognitions that are given by your unit in the following categories: Very Special Person, Honorary Service, Continuing Service, Outstanding Teacher, Outstanding Administrator, and the Golden Oak Award. Units can purchase certificates alone, or a certificate with a pin as a thank you for volunteers. These are not considered gifts, because the funds raised go to the California State PTA Scholarship and Grants Program to award High School Scholarships and grants to local PTAs to advance goals in areas related to outreach in translation, cultural arts, parent education, and healthy lifestyle.
They are easy to order, beautiful to look at, and a meaningful gift for those who have served on the PTA. We hope you will take a look at all the awards we have to offer and consider bestowing a few on your volunteers this year.
