Monthly Advocacy Calls

Save the date, then join our Monthly Advocacy Calls with California State PTA’s Legislative Team and use your voice to positively impact all children and families!

PTA unit/council/district Legislation VPs/Chairs are strongly encouraged to attend. Regardless of title or advocacy experience, all California PTA members are welcome to participate in these hour-long calls. Calls will generally include a brief presentation on the monthly topic, followed by opportunities for group discussion. Optional pre-call reading on the issues will be listed on this page.

5.16.24: Experts from Capitol Advisors discussed Governor Newsom’s May Revise of the California State Budget, which has big implications for our schools and kids! Q&A from PTA members throughout California on topics ranging from TK-14 education, implications for future funding, federal funding of IDEA, and the impact of this budget on families and the whole child, were discussed.
