About California State PTA Social Media Kits

California State PTA knows that communication is one of the most important tools in a Unit’s, Council’s, or District’s toolbox, and when done well, improves every aspect of your and your members’ PTA experience. We are here to help you create impactful online communication, with ease. This year we are providing images and copy for use on your personal or unit/council/district social media accounts that you can easily customize and use as needed.

This social media tool kit provides content for supporting and promoting PTA on social media. Have your own membership campaign ready? Use of the California State PTA Social Media kit is optional.

June 2021 Monthly Focus: Celebrate Your PTA Successes

This PTA year has been full of challenges, but we know that you have many things to celebrate. Take some time this month to share with the families at your school what your PTA has accomplished. From the little things to the big things– take a moment to brag to your school community and remind them of the good things to come from your PTA.

Use these posts as a visual representation of your annual report. Share with them programs you did, funds you raised/gifted to the school, scholarships you earned or gave– anything that helps your community see all of the hard-work you have done this year.

If you want to share your success story with us so we can share it to the entire state, use this form: https://forms.gle/71uoMSUyCn54fAED7

The PTA at our school does so much for the students, staff and teachers.  While this year wasn’t the year we hoped for, there was still so much to celebrate! Tag us in your favorite moments from the past year.
PTA members help to guide our association to best impact our school community. This year we were so excited to have ____ parents, teachers, students, community members and friends be members of our school’s PTA.
A global pandemic didn’t stop our PTA from having events. Our virtual events helped our students and families to feel connected to our campus whether they were physically on campus, hybrid, or virtually learning. (Then highlight one or two events you have done.)
One of the most important things our PTA does is to connect families with our campus. Our family engagement events help parents understand how to engage in their child’s education, support their students at home and at school, and meet other families. (Highlight one of your events)
PTA advocacy comes in lots of different forms. This year parents from our school served on the LCAP committee, Parent Advisory Council, etc. (List how your PTA and parents were advocates for their kids at the local level, community level, and state/national level, if applicable).
We work to connect families to the school. This year we wrote ___ newsletters and/or published _____ social media posts.  (Or you could highlight the most popular posts of the year as a mini scrapbook of your events.)
Our students really rose to every challenge that was thrown their way this year. Through distance and/or hybrid learning they still managed to contribute to our PTA by attending meetings, participating in the California State PTA Legislation Conference, etc. (List all of the ways students were involved in your PTA.)
Every year our school submits a form to the state showing the amount of hours our volunteers have worked on our campus. Our school PTA this year volunteered ______ hours which equals $______ in volunteer contributions. (Multiply the number of volunteer hours by $28.54, which is the most recent value of volunteer hours.)
Student Scholarships are a benefit of being a PTA. This year we had the following students recognized by California State PTA with an academic scholarship. (List the names)
We are proud to participate in the National PTA Reflections Program which encourages students to participate in the arts. This year we had ____ students participate from our school. (If you had any award winners from upper levels, you can note them here as well.)
Every year our PTA uses the funds we have raised to improve the lives of the children and families on this campus. We do this by supporting programs and events here at the school and by gifting monies to the school for important things that the school budget no longer covers. This year our PTA raised ____ and we donated/gifted _______ back to the school through programs, events, and donations.
